Beach Scrub Project
North Queensland Dry Tropics approached MICDA and MINCA (Magnetic Island Nature Care Association), about funds they had available to undertake a weeding program on Beach Scrub areas of Magnetic Island.
These discussions resulted in MINCA accepting the Project Management role of defining areas to be weeded as well as directing the employees engaged, while MICDA accepted the Project Administration role of finance management, employee wages, WorkCover, insurance, etc. Two people have been employed on this project. At various times this project has also worked in cooperation with the Reef Assist Project.
